Hello! First and foremost, you are so welcome here! I am delighted you have found your way to my little corner of the internet and hope that what you find here may be of some use to you.

A little bit about me; my name is Charis, I'm 22, a Primary School Teacher and an ex-frantic and "life in the fast lane" type of girl. 

​

Life Unfiltered came about when I really felt like I'd hit rock bottom. I started my wee journey on Instagram (check it out @_lifeunfiltered__ if you'd like to know more about my roots) and felt that I had much more to say than those little squares allowed me to. So with some love and encouragement from some lovely people, here we are taking the plunge and starting a big girl blog!

It's my hope that this will be an open space heaped in honesty, reality in its most stripped-back form, and as the name suggests, life without its filter. It is no secret that we live in a society fuelled and motivated by the perfectly edited image showcasing the picture perfect lifestyle (if there is such a thing), but it is my aim to irradiate this plastic reality from your mindset as being in any way truthful or reflective of what real life is actually like.

I am all about self-love, self-care and developing self-confidence. So if that is your vibe and you're looking for somewhere taboo topics don't exist, then I hope you stick around. I've a feeling you might like it here.
